"We lived in the city all our lives, then found a subdivision with eight lots, 35 acres each. The Ashipun river runs through our land; the nature here is beautiful. After cleaning out the brush, we set the house between mature trees, and added some retaining walls of large boulders. Brad and Tom (the landscape architect) loved this area and worked well with us. The plan changed as we went along, but one of the things we liked was that if something wasn't right, Brad and Tom stopped until they went any further. The quality you see in their work isn't always on the top ... they made sure there was a solid foundation and adequate drainage before anything was completed. We really appreciated the attention to detail and the willingness to communicate with us; this project was an investment for us, and we didn't want to encounter problems later on. We have recommended them to our friends, and we wouldn't do that unless we were completely satisfied with the work they did for us."

"Our project revolved around the construction of our new home - we needed everything, from retaining walls, to brickwork, a two-level patio, landscaping and a lawn. Mayer Landscapes worked at our house for almost 11 weeks straight, and honestly, were like a part of the family by the time they left. "We didn't want a large contractor, but one who would be on the site every day. Brad was very accessible, which we really appreciated. Not only did he help with the planning phase, but Brad also personally scoured quarries around the state to find the right match of lannon stone for our home. Once he found it, he continued to inspect every delivery, even sending back skids until they got it just right. The mason also showed an amazing attention to detail; he chose each piece by hand. That's saying a lot, because there are almost 200 tons of stone there. We can't say enough good things on behalf of Brad and Mayer Landscapes - their quality work speaks for itself. "

"Initially, we hired Brad and his dad to build a circular patio for us. That project led to a walkway, then a smaller patio in the front, and culminated into the re-landscaping of our back yard. That wasn't a simple thing, either, because they needed to re-slope a hill and add drainage, all of which they accomplished beautifully. We were looking for experts, not someone who would just push dirt around. Brad truly learned from his father, and has more than a passing knowledge of how water flows. Mayer Landscapes continues to do annual maintenance for us. We didn't plan on building this long-term relationship, but together, we've created a wonderful environment around our home. Everything flows; someone even called it "parklike." What greater compliment is there?"
